The Two Valleys – One Vision GEAR UP Program is an exciting new program funded by the U.S. Department of Education and administered by the University of Washington. It is a partnership with the Yakama Tribal School, Mabton, Mt. Adams, Granger, Union Gap, Goldendale, East Valley, Toppenish, Grandview, Wapato, Sunnyside, Mt. Vernon and Burlington-Edison School Districts and 11 community partners.

Two hundred and sixty Wapato 7th grade GEAR UP students visited Columbia Basin College (CBC) on May 2 & 11, 2007, to learn about going to college. These college visits expose students to college life and encourages them to pursue a post-secondary education. For more information, click here.
